Mission Kim Possible to Close?

Recently, MKP group founder Tucsoncoyote posed a question to KP fans: “Has Mission Kim Possible outlived it’s usefulness”? And that “because now so few people care (and the number of posts show it), the usefulness of Mission Kim Possible I feel has come to an End. So in order to get some feedback here, I’m not going to close off this group until January 14th, 2010, the sixth anniversary of the creation of this Yahoo Group.”

At SDS, we’re continuing to fight for KP’s legacy, for better air times and DVD sets, for as long as it takes. and Webmaster Greg feels that it would be a mistake to throw away the history and member list of MKP. But it’s not up to us, it’s up to you, the fans! Visit MKP and let your voice be heard, no matter what side you come down on.

Sneak Peak of Good Luck Charlie!

We always like to close the newsletter with something fun, and this issue is no exception!

On December 4th, Webmaster Greg attended a taping of Disney Channel’s newest original series Good Luck Charlie staring Bridgit Mendler (Wizards of Waverly Place) and Jason Dolley (Cory in the House). The series is currently expected to begin airing in April or May 2010, although no official announcement has been made. In addition to filming four scenes from episode #111 "Kit and Kaboodle" they also showed the audience the first episode of the series – to introduce the characters.

We learn that the mom is a nurse, and its her first day going back to work. Her husband Bob runs an exterminator business (Bobs Bugs be Gone) and assures her that baby Charlie will be fine. Meanwhile, Teddy is trying to kiss "the hottest guy in school" and keeps getting interrupted.

The show is a refreshing change of pace, in that it deals with normal problems with a normal family. At least as normal as any TV family can get – no pop stars, no wizards, no hotels, etc. The only “gimmick” is baby Charlie, which in no way detracts from the charm of the show.

I’m sure I’m not the only one excited about Selena’s next single. Naturally is one of her best songs, and a natural choice for the second single.

Random Twitter Fun #4

Posted on: Friday, November 20th, 2009 in: Debby Ryan, Demi Lovato, Meaghan Martin, Nicole Anderson, Selena Gomez, Twitter Fun

In case you missed part 1, part 2, and part 3, on occasion I round up a bunch of the great twitter pics that I haven’t posted yet for one reason or another and throw them all at you at once. :)

We’ll start with one more Halloween costume, this time from Doug Brochu of Sonny With a Chance. I guess he forgot that Kevin’s a girl. LOL

Doug Brochu Halloween

Doug’s co-star Demi Lovato recently posted this picture, where she’s excited to hang with some friends of her’s.

Demi Lovato Excited

…rough crowd. Well, she looks happier to see her Camp Rock cast mate Jasmine Richards.

Demi Lovato and Jasmine Richards

Speaking of Camp Rock, it looks like Meaghan Martin is having a good time with Princess Belle.

Meaghan Martin with Belle

Disney’s Newest princess, Tiana, just had her world premiere last Sunday. And Debby Ryan was there. :)

So where Mickey and Minnie, of course.

Princess and the Frog - Debby Ryan

As was JONAS star Nicole Anderson.

Princess and the Frog - Nicole Anderson

There’s something about Nicole, she looks prettier every time I see her!

Nicole Anderson Dress

And speaking of pretty girls, how could I forget about Selena Gomez, and this photo tweeted by her Wizards co-star David Henrie?

That’s all for now. And for more twitter fun, be sure to follow DC Fans on twitter @dcfanstv. :)

The rise and fall of Franken-girl

Posted on: Saturday, November 14th, 2009 in: Selena Gomez, Wizards of Waverly Place

I’ve added screencaps for the Wizards of Waverly Place Season Three premiere episode, “Franken-girl.” As you may remember, I saw this episode early at the D23 Expo.

We started the episode with a great scene of Alex and Max together.

Franken-girl

It didn’t take much for Justin to get his mad scientist on,

Franken-girl

…and create Franken-girl!

Franken-girl

Hey look, it’s Harper. Yep.

Franken-girl

And Alex, still cute with short hair.

Franken-girl

Oh look, Franken-girl caught Alex. That was easy.

Franken-girl

“It’s walk you child to school day.” “Justin showed us on his computer, and if it’s on a computer, it must be true.”

Franken-girl

Alex and Franken-Girl wore matching outfits. :)

Franken-girl

“What are you doing here!?”

Franken-girl

Alex looks pretty hot in her athletics outfit, if I do say so myself.

Franken-girl

…I can see Selena’s mole. ;)

Franken-girl

And yes, it’s true, Alex became a cheerleader. But they barely even let us see her! I hope it comes up in a future episode!

Selena Gomez: Hot List Party in LA

Posted on: Wednesday, November 11th, 2009 in: Selena Gomez

I’ve added some great new pictures of Selena at TV Guides Hot List Party last night.

Selena Gomez - Hot List Party in LA

And as usual, Selena looks amazing, and dare I say curvier?

Selena Gomez - Hot List Party in LA

I’m not the only one that sees it, right?

She’s definitely growing up. :)

Night at the Lazerama

Posted on: Monday, November 9th, 2009 in: Bridgit Mendler, Selena Gomez, Wizards of Waverly Place

“Night at the Lazerama” was perhaps the saddest Wizards episode to date. And in many ways, one of the strangest.

but before we get too far ahead of ourselves, what is up with Harper’s hat? She has a giraffe on it!

Night at the Lazerama

I like Alex’s pajamas. :)

Night at the Lazerama

And Alex continues to study. Despite the fact that she already knows she can beat Justin in the wizards competition.

Night at the Lazerama

That is quite a Monster hunting outfit Justin. Totally blends in at the museum. LOL

Night at the Lazerama

LOL! “Oh, sorry, did I scare you?

Night at the Lazerama

Meanwhile, look out, Alex has been thinking!

Night at the Lazerama

“You gave away a sandwich!?”

Night at the Lazerama

“Alex!” And then she waves! That was great.

Night at the Lazerama

Okay, to you’re trapped and Magic doesn’t work on plastic. How about using magic to give yourself super strength? Or to make a door in the side that isn’t plastic? Or how about turning Juliet into a pair of socks sho she doesn’t turn to ash in the morning?

Night at the Lazerama

And what where these kids doing wandering around in the museum after closing anyway?

Night at the Lazerama

Hey look, Conscious has a conscious. Except his is taller than he is. LOL

Night at the Lazerama

Max is doing laundry. Nice. :)

Night at the Lazerama

Juliet! The mummy let you through the plastic before enslaving you. Quick, make a run for it!

Night at the Lazerama

…Okay, too late. Oh right, Bridgit needs to go film her new show now. So they had to write her character out of the show.

Night at the Lazerama

Alex, looks like you got there too late. But I have a feeling we’ll see Juliet again – just not for a while.

Night at the Lazerama

Bridgit Mendler returns to Wizards

Posted on: Saturday, November 7th, 2009 in: Bridgit Mendler, Selena Gomez, Wizards of Waverly Place

The (now second) newest Wizards of Waverly Place episode “Three Monsters” is certainly one of my favorites so far.

For starters, Juliet is back!

Wizards of Waverly Place - Three Monsters

And Bridget is adorable, even with fangs! :)

Wizards of Waverly Place - Three Monsters

Justin is still monster-hunting, and for some reason doesn’t realize the monsters he’s detected are Juliet and her family.

Wizards of Waverly Place - Three Monsters

…which I could excuse, if not for the fact that Alex figured it out in about 5 seconds

Wizards of Waverly Place - Three Monsters

Juliet doesn’t take the news very well. Fortunately, Alex has a plan…

Wizards of Waverly Place - Three Monsters

Wait, that’s it? Change their outfits? Why not turn back time? Or change Juliet’s smell? Or shift everyone into an alternate universe where Justin didn’t make that call?

Anyway, here’s the professional monster hunters.

Wizards of Waverly Place - Three Monsters

I wondered what happened to Frankengirl. “It was dark under there.”

Wizards of Waverly Place - Three Monsters

“Oh look, the third monster is, NOTHING”

Wizards of Waverly Place - Three Monsters

That’s a lot of markers…

Wizards of Waverly Place - Three Monsters

I love how fast Alex and Justin where willing to sacrifice Max. LOL

Wizards of Waverly Place - Three Monsters

Well, the important thing is the monster hunters couldn’t count, ’cause now Juliet’s safe.
