SELENA GOMEZ AND THE SCENE�S MUSIC VIDEO
“NATURALLY,” FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11

–”Naturally” Goes into Rotation on Radio Disney December 11–

Disney Channel will present the world premiere of Selena Gomez and The Scene’s second music video, “Naturally,” from her debut album, “Kiss & Tell,” FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11 (8:40 p.m., ET/PT), following the premiere of “Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation."�The single will go into rotation on Radio Disney that same day.

“Naturally” was written by Antonina Armato, Tim James and Devrim Karaoglu and directed by Chris Dooley who also directed Gomez’s first music video, “Falling Down,” as well as Scissor Sisters, Mari� Digby and David Bowie music videos.

“Kiss & Tell” from Hollywood Records debuted in the Billboard Top 10. “Naturally” is available as a digital single on iTunes and Gomez is scheduled to perform the song on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2010.”

Mission Kim Possible to Close?

Recently, MKP group founder Tucsoncoyote posed a question to KP fans: “Has Mission Kim Possible outlived it’s usefulness”? And that “because now so few people care (and the number of posts show it), the usefulness of Mission Kim Possible I feel has come to an End. So in order to get some feedback here, I’m not going to close off this group until January 14th, 2010, the sixth anniversary of the creation of this Yahoo Group.”

At SDS, we’re continuing to fight for KP’s legacy, for better air times and DVD sets, for as long as it takes. and Webmaster Greg feels that it would be a mistake to throw away the history and member list of MKP. Kevin Gamble joins Disney Television Animation

Kevin Gamble has been named Vice President, Development, Disney Television Animation, it was announced today by Eric Coleman, Senior Vice President, Original Series, Disney Television Animation, to whom he will report. A top creative executive in CG animation and new media, Gamble joins Disney with 12 years experience, most recently as Vice President, Production & Creative for Classic Media.

Disney Fourth Quarter Earnings

Walt Disney (NYSE:DIS) reported fiscal Q4 EPS of 46 cents, ex-items, topping consensus estimates of 41 cents. Revenues in the quarter rose 4% year-over-year to $9.87 billion, and came in ahead of consensus estimates of $9.29 billion.

Sneak Peak of Good Luck Charlie!

We always like to close the newsletter with something fun, and this issue is no exception!

On December 4th, Webmaster Greg attended a taping of Disney Channel’s newest original series Good Luck Charlie staring Bridgit Mendler (Wizards of Waverly Place) and Jason Dolley (Cory in the House). The series is currently expected to begin airing in April or May 2010, although no official announcement has been made. In addition to filming four scenes from episode #111 "Kit and Kaboodle"� they also showed the audience the first episode of the series – to introduce the characters.

We learn that the mom is a nurse, and it�s her first day going back to work. Her husband Bob runs an exterminator business (Bob�s Bugs be Gone) and assures her that baby Charlie will be fine. Meanwhile, Teddy is trying to kiss "the hottest guy in school"� and keeps getting interrupted.

The show is a refreshing change of pace, in that it deals with normal problems with a normal family. At least as normal as any TV family can get – no pop stars, no wizards, no hotels, etc. The only “gimmick” is baby Charlie, which in no way detracts from the charm of the show.

I’m sure I’m not the only one excited about Selena’s next single. Naturally is one of her best songs, and a natural choice for the second single.

Disney Channel invites viewers to create their own New Year’s Eve programming event by voting for their favorite episodes, moments, music videos and more in online polls at DisneyChannel.com. Beginning FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20, three new polls will roll out each Friday inviting viewers to vote in a total of 18 categories, including Favorite Episodes and Favorite Guest Star. Fans can also vote for their Top 10 favorite music videos of 2009, and the songs will air on Radio Disney. Voting will determine the New Year’s Eve programming lineup, entitled “New Year’s Star Showdown,” airing THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31 (6:00 p.m.-12:30 a.m. ET/PT) on Disney Channel. Throughout the night, Disney Channel will air sneak peeks of upcoming Disney Channel and Disney XD series and original movies including the much-anticipated “Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam.”

Last year nearly 33.7 million online votes were cast during the “Totally New Year” programming event. This year, every time one of the online polls is completed, users will unlock that week’s digital prize and reveal a piece of the mystery puzzle. Prizes include a 2010 printable calendar, New Year’s Eve party decorations and games. Fans can also test their Disney Channel knowledge in new online trivia games every week.

During the “New Year’s Eve Star Showdown” programming lineup, favorite Disney Channel stars will compete in five Game Show challenges: “So Random,” “Last Star Standing,” “Sound Off,” “Quick Draw” and the “New Years Eve Countdown Game.”

Songs from Disney Channel’s Top 10 music videos will air on Radio Disney FRIDAY, JANUARY 1 (12:00 p.m. ET/9:00 a.m. PT) in a one-hour special hosted by Ernie D and Jake. Radio Disney will also celebrate the New Year with a five-hour special THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31 (7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT), counting down the Top 50 songs of 2009 with all the Radio Disney DJs.

Disney’s Newest princess, Tiana, just had her world premiere last Sunday. And Debby Ryan was there.

I’ve added screencaps for the Wizards of Waverly Place Season Three premiere episode, “Franken-girl.” As you may remember, I saw this episode early at the D23 Expo.

We started the episode with a great scene of Alex and Max together.

Alex looks pretty hot in her athletics outfit, if I do say so myself.

…I can see Selena’s mole.

And yes, it’s true, Alex became a cheerleader. But they barely even let us see her! I hope it comes up in a future episode!

She’s definitely growing up.

“Night at the Lazerama” was perhaps the saddest Wizards episode to date. And in many ways, one of the strangest.

but before we get too far ahead of ourselves, what is up with Harper’s hat? She has a giraffe on it!

I like Alex’s pajamas.

And Alex continues to study. Despite the fact that she already knows she can beat Justin in the wizards competition.

That is quite a Monster hunting outfit Justin. Totally blends in at the museum. LOL

“Alex!” And then she waves! That was great.

Okay, to you’re trapped and Magic doesn’t work on plastic. How about using magic to give yourself super strength? Or to make a door in the side that isn’t plastic? Or how about turning Juliet into a pair of socks sho she doesn’t turn to ash in the morning?

And what where these kids doing wandering around in the museum after closing anyway?

Max is doing laundry. Nice.

Juliet! The mummy let you through the plastic before enslaving you. Quick, make a run for it!

…Okay, too late. Oh right, Bridgit needs to go film her new show now. So they had to write her character out of the show.

Alex, looks like you got there too late. But I have a feeling we’ll see Juliet again – just not for a while.

The (now second) newest Wizards of Waverly Place episode “Three Monsters” is certainly one of my favorites so far.

For starters, Juliet is back!

And Bridget is adorable, even with fangs!

Justin is still monster-hunting, and for some reason doesn’t realize the monsters he’s detected are Juliet and her family.

…which I could excuse, if not for the fact that Alex figured it out in about 5 seconds

Juliet doesn’t take the news very well. Fortunately, Alex has a plan…

Wait, that’s it? Change their outfits? Why not turn back time? Or change Juliet’s smell? Or shift everyone into an alternate universe where Justin didn’t make that call?

Anyway, here’s the professional monster hunters.
